Full Member of BADth
Having completed my Masters in Dramatherapy and registered with The Health and Care Professions Council, I have now registered with BADth, the professional body for Dramatherapists in Britain.
Membership of the British Association of Dramatherapists means I am kept up to date with changes to the profession through the Dramatherapy Journal, industry Newsletter and email updates. It gives me access to a number of training courses and conferences for a reduced fee and access to a mentoring scheme for newly qualified dramatherapists.
As a member of BADth, all of my practice follows their Code of Practice: “Dramatherapists have moral and ethical responsibilities towards clients and must ensure that they practise with integrity.” This document includes standards for confidentiality, child protection, informed consent, professional boundaries, professional conduct, record keeping and contracting.
As of 12 March 2020, I have also served as one of the Executive Committee members (company directors) for BADth. I wrote the guidelines on online working for all British dramatherapists during Covid-19 and I have joined the subcommittee for graduates, communications and the annual conference.
